Ghoul's chains
when at rons house before you degnome the garden you can look at the pantry/thing by the door. go to it and press A and you will get the ghouls chains(if you have already talked to the ghoul you know he wants chains) b now you go up to the attic (the last set of stairs after rons room) and go talk to the ghoul. give him the chains and nyou will get a card

Kill the basilist
You have to get loads of grand wiggen weld potion up to 15 if you want it to be easy. to get the money do battles it wont take many. Also do dueling to win stuff like dragon skin gloves e.t.c (you dont get anything until you go aggainst the 3rd person in from the left a boy.

How to get the skurge spell
On the day after the first day go into Flich's room if he's not there then go around the back of his desk and press the A button and you'll recieve quick spell and it will say you learned the skurge spell.

Secret passages:
A secret passage can be found on the second floor. It is one of the statues. Press A and go through it. It will take you to a silver door on the fourth floor next to the Hospital Wing. There is another secret passage on the sixth floor. It is the Golden Statue furthest north in the hall. It will take you to the Dungeon. You can also go backwards through the passages.

Trades
In the game is a secret 'trade game' hidden. First you must buy a Chudley Cannons jersey. Then you give it to Ron(automaticcaly). He gives you a football card. Give that football card to the boy that runs the card club at school. He then gives misprinted Wendolyn the weird. Then go to the sixth floor of Hogwarts. In the corridor to the store room(the upper-right door) you find a painting. That's Wendolyn the weird, give her misprint and she gives you a baby spider. Now you go to Hagrid. He likes the spider and gives you a spiked collar. Go to Filch's office. Talk to Filch, he gives you a picture of Lockhart for the collar. Now you go to one of the floors of Hogwarts(sorry I don't know which. There you find a girl. She says that Filch stole her Lockhart picture. Give it and she gives a torch. Bring that to the Non-magical Studies classroom(fifth floor). There is a boy. Give him the torch and he gives you a harmonica. Bring that to the music classroom(also fifth floor). There's also a boy, give him the harmonica and he trades you a magical flute. Now go to proffesor Binns classroom(fourth floor) and give him the magical flute. He gives you a dragon cloak. That gives you +50 defense, +3 agility and +20 magic defense. You can wear it, but you can also sell it in shop for 15000(!) sickles.

Petrificis totalus
to get petrificis totalis, before attending herbiology class go to the hospital wing and talk to the person in the first hospital bed on the right. They should ask you to see if you could get her magic storybook. go to the gryffindoor common room and talk to the guy walking around, he will tell you that Ginny has it. go down to the third floor and talk to the girl with redish hair in front of the trophy cabnet next to the stairs, it should be Ginny. She will ask for an autographed picture of you. go up to the fifth floor and talk to the guy standing in the middle of the couches and get him to take your photo.He will give a photograph of you. take it to Ginny and she will give you the magic storybook, take it to Katie in the hospital and she will teach you patrificus totalus.

Get past giant spider:
To pass the giant spider in the Dark Forest, be at level 32 or higher and use the Vermillous Tria spell.

Buy lots of Revive Potions. When Ron or Harry get knocked out, revive him.

Defeating the spider:
To do a quick 45 damage to the spider, use the Broom Of Doom (card combo).

Defeating Professor Lockhart:
Use the Mucus Andnesium spell to poison him, then keep using the Expelliarmus spell.
